On Gmail and other things
Happy solstice to all. Or whatever else you may have celebrated today.
Hah. All you loosers looking for a free Gig of email storage. Without POP3 access. I’ve got a 2.56GB mailbox with POP3 and IMAP access. Lusers.
I’m catching up on things. Really I am… I’m trying, at least. Real life seems to have gotten the better of me and won’t let me have any time to myself. And when I do get those elusive moments of time, I wind up using them to sit back and relax. Without relaxation, I’d just about go crazy. And it’s been getting worse, too. On Sunday, I had to coax myself into staying awake at work. Luckly, I was doing desk stuff, like Rogers Training, but still. It’s not good. And I STILL haven’t found that USB 802.11b adapter, which is a bad thing, because it might mean that I’ll have to crack open a client’s computer and put in a NIC. Which isn’t something that I look forward to doing, considering a NIC is one of the big things that Windows XP looks at for hardware identification during activation. I know it won’t de-activate anything. But What kind of computer these days ships with Windows XP, but no NIC?!? Arg.
So I’ve decided something. I’m going to get off my lazy ass and get some of these things done. My website isn’t the highest thing of the priority list though. Not that anyone comes here yet… you can’t even find this site in Google. Which makes me mad. But I’ll be changing that soon. Oh yes. Shameless self-promotion will be done. I’ll have buisness cards and everything. I won’t give away my soul, but you can have my sleep. I can be like Lorne in that one episode, where he gets rid of his sleep. Only, I’m not a precog, so I won’t have any of those lam “Hulk Smash” side effects. Now go out and stake your territory.
Damnit, thre’s no space down here. I don’t have a bed room, and it’s a big deal that I now have a bed. It’s so stupid. I wanna sleep? Not if someone else wants to watch TV. Or play video games. or basically do anything. I want my own place sooo bad, but I can’t right now. I’m trying to pick up the responsibilities that no one else will. Which everyone tells me is stupid. Usually right before they ask me to pick up one of their own. It makes me mad.
If I clean it, I think it’ll look bigger. but that still doesn’t address any of the privacy concerns.
It’s been an interessting weekend. Dad’s in town again. Picked up from a hospital in Drumheller. Wonder when it’ll hit.
