This is just a test post using Windows Live Writer. I think I should start actually using this site again. But then again, I’ve said that before, eh?

I gotta get my copy of Photoshop working again. Then I can start designing again. I think I would enjoy that.

Well, I managed to do it without any help from Staples, but I restored my computer without any bootable media. I never thought it was a good idea for Sony to ask you to create the bootable DVDs, but I guess it’s my fault for not doing it. Now I can’t get onto the restore partition either. I could read the file table from Knoppix, but I couldn’t read the actual files. All I could do was re-build from scratch. Which means most of my files are gone. That includes some of the files on my site.

The one thing that I regret the most about this is not having my iTunes anymore. I HAD a backup of it on my external hard drive, but that got messed up during the backup. I’d like to say the irony was not lost on me, but, ironically, it was in digital format, and lost as well.

Yes, my humor’s lame. Sue me.

Okay, now that I’ve got this computer, and somethings are bound to settle down… I’m going to spend a little more time with my web stuff. Working on this site, for example, and making some templates up, both for WordPress, and the CMS I’m starting up, that will eventually be used at mikevinnish.net, since there isn’t anything there yet.

Yeah. “Look for more to come soon.” It sounds lame, but I am determined, and I have not forgotten. I do not develop vapourware.
